THE NEW NOE BAG …
Louis Vuitton’s Spring/Summer 2014 collection became the final task for Marc Jacobs who has been creative director for the French fashion house for nearly 16 years. He has done a brilliant job and took a big part in the gigantic, international success of the brand.
Jacobs’ last impressive work for the spring/summer 2014 collection was the reinterpretation of the classic “Noe” bag. He designed the cult bag in many different variations – from a highly decorated, flashy style with feathers and sequins to a very clean and timeless look… A bag for every taste and any occasion!
The oldest Parisian department store Le Bon Marché invited film director Sofia Coppola to work on the design of its windows in honor of launching the updated model of the SC bag which stands for sophistication and timelessness. The original version of the luxe bag was created by Sofia Coppola for Louis Vuitton in 2009.
The artistic film maker and Louis Vuitton’s muse decorated the windows in a fun and lively way – with neon hearts, deer, giant cherry blossoms, peonies and colorful balloons. You can see the presentation until October 26.
“I wanted it to be fun and feminine and to think of the bag as a present or a treat that you get yourself. … It reminds me of Christmas, seeing the windows, so I wanted to do something that kids would enjoy too.” Sofia Coppola
Every year the big Department Stores come up with great ideas and creative themes for their Christmas Window Displays …it’s fun looking at the lavish and beautiful creations !
